Pompe à cavité progressive
A progressing cavity pump is a type of positive displacement pump.
The pump element consists of a stator and a rotor. The rotor has an eccentric movement and is therefore also called eccentric screw pump. The progressing cavity pump's strength is that it can pump viscous liquids and that it is quite insensitive to pressure changes on the pressure side. This means that the pump maintains its flow even though there is an increase in pressure on the pressure side.
